Perhaps one of the most attractive tourist destination here in Kota Kinabalu and around the country is the serene and lush greenery surrounding Mount Kinabalu. You can choose either to climb the mountain or stay around at the foot of it to enjoy the cool weather as well as appreciate the sceneries in around. Otherwise, Kota Kinabalu would be an ideal destination for those who are into outdoor adventure. There are various activities for tourists when visiting Kota Kinabalu. Wide water rafting at Kiulu forest reserve are one of them or you can choose to laze around the hot water at the Poring Hot Springs.
Alternatively you can go jungle trekking where you can might be able to enjoy the thousands of different flora and fauna species in the million year old rain forests. If you are lucky you might be able to find the world’s largest single flower, the Rafflesia. For those who prefer a more laid back holiday, you can stay in the many resorts available in around Kota Kinabalu. Take the Sutera Harbour Resort in the city or the Nexus Karambunai located about 30 minutes from town or otherwise at the homestay-style bungalow cabins in around Lok Kawi, all of which are catered for tourists and visitors who would like an unforgettable experience.
