Located 15kilometers from Kinabalu National Park, roots Mesilau Nature Resort. Elevated about 2000 meters above sea level, this is an ideal place for many to stay away from the city’s noise and hustle bustle. Mesilau Nature Resort has for many years been used as the destination for corporate training, group traveling, nature’s appreciation and holiday goers.

There are various things one can do at the resort. To begin with, Mesilau can be regarded as a resort in its own. To some it is regarded as the opening to the alternative route to the top of Mount Kinabalu. To get to Mesilau Nature Resort, you will have to go 6 kilometers past the Kinabalu National Park, pass the vegetable stores at Kundasang, take a left turn and in about 10 kilometers later, you will have to pass the Liwagu river.

For those looking for a perfect getaway, Mesilau is a great choice as the cool and serene air do not fail in enticing anyone to take a walk, anywhere around the resort. One can just laze around and not do anything or take a walk among the green and colourful forest tracks.

For the more adventurous, or the mountain climbers, the route up to the highest peak of South East Asia, Mount Kinabalu would always stand a challenge or two. This is of course the conventional route up the peak, most people who have reached the peak of Mount Kinabalu would like to take this route as it is supposedly slightly harder and longer. Even if this is the case, that should not deter the explorative nature of the tourist who, since came this far. The route is slightly further compared to the one from Kinabalu Park but challenging and satisfying nonetheless.
